Yesterday I saw this random woman around E. 53 and Park Ave topless and of course, I was like, WTF…Seriously. Today I posted it to my instagram and soon after a friend of mine sent me an article where the woman explains her main reason (being women’s rights) the main reason for her walking around topless. I guess she wants to express her rights to not only bear arms but to ‘bare breast’. Apparently she was arrested twice and released when the police officers realized that she was not breaking any laws. A lot of people have been reacting to this woman: some in disbelieve ‘is this for real?’ and others (GUYS) wants to know the “… who, what, when and where’. According to her, she “… get(s) a lot of support… there’s mixed reactions, because people aren’t used to seeing it in our culture yet.”
I say good for! Do as you will and express your right to topless. And as freeing as that may look, I wont be walking around with my ta-tas out anytime soon.
Yes this is real and if you have seen this woman around let me know what you are thinking about women’s right to bare breast.
